Kittery Point Yacht Yard has immediate openings for the following positions.  Successful candidates will be professional and team-oriented, but also able to work independently.  Good communication skills and basic computer knowledge are necessary prerequisites.  Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.  Must be willing to under go a background check.

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. We offer health and dental insurance, retirement plan with company match, paid holidays and paid time off.  All positions are full time, year-round, M-F 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.

Marine Diesel Mechanic

Seeking an individual with a background in diesel engine maintenance, troubleshooting, rebuilds and repowers, as well as a familiarity with related vessel systems. OEM training opportunities are available.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs and comfortable working in, on, and around boats.

Outboard Technician

Seeking an individual with a background in outboard engine maintenance, troubleshooting, rebuilds and repowers, as well as a familiarity with related vessel systems. OEM training opportunities are available.

Boat Hauler / Marine Equipment Operator

Seeking an individual with experience hauling boats (power and sail) up to 60 feet LOA and operating a crane for mast work.  Applicant must be safety & detail oriented, have a solid work ethic, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.  Duties to include operation of hydraulic boat trailer, fork lift, and yard crane as well as (occasionally) Marine Travelift.  Applicant should possess necessary skills and knowledge to perform equipment maintenance and repairs.  Additional boat related and marine service skills a plus.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs and comfortable working in, on, and around boats.  Position is full time with occasional off hour needs.

Customer Service Advisor

Seeking a Customer Service Advisor to support our growing business.  Responsible for providing support to our customers and our team of highly skilled technicians.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with our customers, team members and vendors to obtain the information required to properly schedule repair work on a variety of power and sail boats up to 60 feet.  Prior customer service and sales experience as well as a general knowledge of power and sailboats is required.  A high level of organizational skills and an outgoing person with the ability to deal with a variety of personalities is critical to success.

Key Tasks:

  • Greet customers and determine their needs.
  • Provide estimates to customers and then use approved estimates to generate detailed work orders for technicians.
  • Regularly meet with service and sales managers to prioritize jobs.
  • Answer and return all service-related phone calls/ emails in a professional and timely manner.
  • Promote the sale of our added services, dealership brands and parts.
  • Assist management in the growth of our customer base and storage fleet.
  • Assist service manager with the supervision of two government contracts related to the maintenance of a small fleet of vessels.
  • Review customer invoice drafts on weekly basis for the vessels and customers you manage.
  • Provide prompt, detailed and timely flow of information.
