Kittery Point Yacht Yard has immediate openings for the following positions.  Successful candidates will be professional and team-oriented, but also able to work independently.  Good communication skills and basic computer knowledge are necessary prerequisites.  Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.  Must be willing to under go a background check.

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. We offer health and dental insurance, retirement plan with company match, paid holidays and paid time off.  All positions are full time, year-round, M-F 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.

Marine Diesel Mechanic

Seeking an individual with a background in diesel engine maintenance, troubleshooting, rebuilds and repowers, as well as a familiarity with related vessel systems. OEM training opportunities are available.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs and comfortable working in, on, and around boats.

Outboard Technician

Seeking an individual with a background in outboard engine maintenance, troubleshooting, rebuilds and repowers, as well as a familiarity with related vessel systems. OEM training opportunities are available.

Customer Service Representative for Mechanical Group

Strong communication skills & prior customer service experience required.  A background in outboard propulsion and related vessel systems a plus.  Ability to write estimates & work orders, recommend mechanical maintenance and repairs on pleasure & commercial vessels, and QC mechanical projects upon completion.

Cosmetic Detailing

Seeking an individual that can manage and build our cosmetic detailing department.  Preferably, this individual would come with a team or establish a team once hired.  Must be proficient in all aspects of yacht cleaning and detailing, including buffing & waxing (paint and gelcoat) and bottom paint prep & application.

This individual will have management responsibilities, while also maintaining a level of billability.  Candidate must be organized, fully capable of coordinating daily logistics and schedules with the launch crew, and work as a team player.
